Yelling “data centres” in a crowded stockmarket

Saying the word, “data centres” and then buying shares of your nearest, known provider of data centres isn’t the best example of investment research.

This is why I keep warning investors about the dangers of this word “narrative”.

For example, the stock price of ASX listed Nextdc Limited is still trading at the same price it was 5 years ago……

although today, it’s market capitalisation is ~ A$11 billion and back in late 2020 and mid 2021, it’s market cap was ~ A$5.5 billion.

Same stock price but double the market capitalisation?

Because the company has nearly twice the amount of shares on issue.
